Business Management, Fashion Design, Fashion Management. This is Kittima Kwangnok’s academic path and when I read it, after seeing the lookbook, I just thought: “Ok, school matters”. Of course, it is important to study, but you should also have very clear intentions and a distinctive talent that – seems obvious to me – she has.
Kittima is a fashion designer of Thai origin who has chosen Milan to complete her education and launch her own brand. She arrived in the city in 2008, she attended two degree courses at Naba (my same university!) and she went straight to the heart of the fashion world by collaborating with Diane Von Furstenberg, Giambattista Valli, Versace, Valentino and Mont- Blanc. Thanks to this broad and deep experience in the field of fashion, Kittima is now ready to give birth to her first collection as an independent designer.
Kittima SS15 – launch collection
The Prêt-à-Porter by Kittima ss15 is conceived for the contemporary woman and has its designed following the philosophy of “New Made in Italy”. The mood of this Spring Summer 2015 collection is characterized by a mix of fine Italian craftsmanship and more international values such as trend, style, innovation and visibility. The brand combines quality and unconventional elegance for a modern style of life, with a sensual blend of natural materials. Fabrics and leather alternate within the same garment in a surprising way or are combined to enhance their features.
The main colors are bright and hyper-feminine: yellow, red and pink. Black and gray add a touch of elegance and mystery. The shapes vary from classic elegance to urban culture and sporty mood. The shoes, handmade in leather, complete the outfits conveying a sense of youth and happiness.
Everything blends perfectly into the philosophy of Kittima SS15: listen to me, this is a new designer to keep an eye on!
